SWENext (Society of Women Engineers) is an organization that empowers females for careers in engineering and technology. At WV SWENext, we provide opportunities and exposure to STEM, focusing on different aspects of engineering. Striving to promote diversity, we utilize outreach, education, and other school or community-wide events to spread knowledge interest in engineering and programming. This year we look forward to holding more coding workshops and inviting women engineers/speakers, as well as a variety of other events! WiSTEM is an international program aimed to promote Women in STEM and increase the importance of women in STEM fields. At WV WiSTEM, we are trying to encourage the student body to learn more about the women professionals in the STEM field by hosting webinars and interactive events. This year we hope to have informative discussions and connect with other WiSTEM clubs around the community.
